Legendary singer Runa Laila will celebrate her 50 years in music through a concert tomorrow at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center. Two Bollywood celebrities, singer cum actor Fawad Afzal Khan and playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, widely known as KK, will join the singer on stage at the concert titled Celebration of Music organised by Entourage Entertainment. Tickets will be available at the outlets of Angels n’ Gypsies, Kabab Factory, La’belle Beauty Salon and Charcoal Steak House, and online at www.imdhaka.com. Runa Laila, who received her sixth National Film Award in the best playback singer category this year, said she is ‘really happy’ for the arrangement through which she would be able to celebrate her achievements in music lasting for five decades..

In her long and eventful musical career, Laila got huge popularity simultaneously in Bangladesh, India and Pakistan. For her contributions towards the music, Laila got Independence Award, National Film Awards for six times in Bangladesh. The singer also got Nigar Award, Critics Award and Graduate Award from Pakistan before the independence of Bangladesh in 1971.
