Popular singer Mehrin delighted the audience at a solo concert held on the Valentine’s Day, presenting a total of 15 heart-touching romantic songs. The one-and-a-half-hours show was held at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre on Saturday. The singer started with the presentation of a popular folk-fusion titled Basanta Batashey, based on Shah Abdul Karim’s original number of the same title. Her presentation of the fusion with the help of western instruments such as keyboard, guitar, bass and drums received instant appreciation. She also presented the title-song of her debut album Anari, in addition to her other popular numbers including E Ki Aloy, Rimjhim and Moneri Shajano.
Mehrin’s presentation of the popular Rabindra Sangeet titled Katobaro bhebechhinu and a few other cover songs such as Heaven, Love will Keep Us Alive, and Urdu sufi song Mast Kalandar also got appreciation.
The show ended with the presentation of her popular song Rajkumar.
